XLR8

On March 28, 2010, the group had their debut on GMA Network's Sunday Noontime Musical Variety Show, Party Pilipinas with their first single You’re So Hot. It took Viva one year of auditions, dance and voice training and to find the right songs for the boys from producers Christian de Walden and Marcus Davis.

After their debut, XLR8 became more busy promoting their self-titled album XLR8. They appeared on MYX Channel, Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman, Unang Hirit, Diz iz it, and became one of the mainstay performers every Sunday in Asia's Party Capital, Party Pilipinas.

XLR8 gained more popularity since then and their single YOUR'E SO HOT made it to Pinoy Myx Countdown debuting at No. 11 and at 9th spot for seven consecutive weeks. They have been featured as front cover of Pinoy Magazine.

XLR8 also hit the airwaves according to writer Raul Calalang,

"Aside from the series of mall shows, XLR8 took over the airwaves as they visited different radio stations last April 26, 2010. The six boys, AJ, Arkin, Caleb, Kiko, MJ and MM, went around Metro Manila to promote their self-titled album on air. Two of the boys weren’t able to join the group, Aki, who was still stick and Carlo who got sick as well.

The boys of XLR8 were interviewed on air, mostly on how they came up with a group name and how they were formed as a group.

They also sang a few lines from their songs live. I’m pretty sure the hearts of the listeners melted when they heard the sweet voices of the boys of XLR8. To the listeners, their singing voices were so great, but for us in the studio, their good looks were a bonus.

Their name, XLR8, came from a character with the same name in the famous cartoon series, Ben10. They started with four members but Boss Vic Del Rosario wanted more members thus creating a group of 8 handsome and talented men.

They underwent years of training under Viva Entertainment, Inc and now, they’re ready to conquer the country with a fresh blend of Philippine Pop that will surely keep up with the trend around the world.

It’s about time we have our own share in the current Pop culture. Support our own music, our homegrown talents. The boys of XLR8 does not only offer good looks, they have been blessed with numerous talents as well and they are out to share this to the world.

Growing fan base like A'FM (Accelerated for Music) kept the group motivated to do their best every time they perform. The group is composed of eight members; Kiko, Aki, Caleb, Carlo, AJ, MJ, MM and Arkin.

XLR8 has just started ACCELERATING in terms of their POPULARITY and surely, no one will stop them :D
